How to Choose the Right Medicare Advantage Plan for You

Story

My wife and I have changed health insurance plans recently and… changing health insurance plans is not fun!

Over the years, you have figured out what doctor you trust and what prescriptions are needed and you get used to a system that works! It can be difficult to transfer medical records and it takes a long time to feel comfortable with a new doctor, knowing that they really understand you. 

When you turn 65yrs old and become Medicare eligible a big change could happen to your health care plan. If you don’t choose the correct plan that accommodates your preferences and the financial liability you’re comfortable with, Medicare can change things dramatically! 

One of the ways to choose the healthcare you feel comfortable with is to select a Medicare Advantage plan!

You’ll have lots of options to look at and decide what’s best for you, your needs and your budget, including: 

  • HMO (Health Management Organization) plan with a primary care physician as your gateway to all specialists and tests. 

  • PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan with flexible options to visit the doctors you want to see.

  • Prescription Drug Plans for generic and name-brand prescriptions working with your favorite pharmacy. 

  • Dental and vision coverage 

  • Many other special options depending on our your needs
