How do you Enroll in a New Healthcare Plan
Do You Remember MapQuest?
Raise your hand if you remember MapQuest! About 20 years ago, I remember that MapQuest was an exciting new way to use maps and get directions. You’d login to the website and find your desired location to drive to...and then PRINT out directions.
Printing directions? That’s so outdated!
Well so is figuring out how to enroll in a new health plan!
Google Maps is a new and free way to find directions on your mobile phone.
Likewise, asking an Insurance Broker is the new and free way to enroll in a new healthcare plan!
Open Enrollment
Keep in mind that Open Enrollment for healthcare is November 1 - December 15 (and some states extend that time). You can only shop for a new plan at that time, so don’t miss it! (Start the process now, so you’re all done before Thanksgiving.)
Use an Insurance Broker
Asking an insurance broker you trust to help you is just smart. Here is why:
It’s Free. Asking an insurance broker to help you will cost you nothing. Insurance carriers just give a small commission back to the broker, but there is no cost to you!
