How to Get Healthcare Tax Credits
Are you a smart shopper?
Every time I go shopping...my wife asks me this question: “Do you have a coupon”?
And I really appreciate her asking! Why waste money when you can save money?
Every store and online shop has coupons and promo codes available and you really should take advantage of them! Never shop without a coupon!
Federal Tax Credits
Now federal tax credits for health insurance is not a coupon… and someone will definitely have to pay that bill later (but that’s for another discussion).
The bottom line is - always check and see if you qualify for a federal tax credit for health insurance!
If you do not have access to health insurance through their employer, you likely qualify for a tax credit on your health insurance!
More About Tax Credits
These tax credits are paid by the federal government directly to the health plan you choose.
The amount you save with the tax credit depends on your family size and family income. The lower your income, the lower your costs will be.
Tax credits can give you lower monthly premiums or you can receive a refund when you file your tax return.
There is a wide range for tax credit eligibility. An individual making up to $45,960 and a family of four making up to $94,200 can qualify for tax credits.

Choose a new health plan during Open Enrollment (November 1 - December 15)
Correctly estimate your family income.
